After having my camera stolen in Bosnia, I was off to Serbia and Montenegro. Besides my memories of this time, I only have photographs of the postcards I bought while there.
I was immediately impressed by the largest orthodox church in the world, in Serbia’s capital, Belgrade.
Seeing it in person was amazing. I did feel a little lonely and way from home in Belgrade, so I made my first trip to McDonalds, something I try to avoid on my travels.
Next I was down to the seaside Montenegro. By some it is considered a separate country, and not part of Serbia.
I teamed up with a group of young special forces veterans from the Bosnian / Serbian war. The took me in and were happy to show their country and customs to me. Our days and evenings were spent on and near the beach.

Don’t be ashamed of going to McDonalds or other American fast food joints occasionally when abroad. It is fast and easy compared to local options with unfamiliar menus and potential language issues. The less stress the better I say.
Thanks for the encouragement bro!
