After having my camera stolen in Bosnia, I was off to Serbia and Montenegro. Besides my memories of this time, I only have photographs of the postcards I bought while there.
I was immediately impressed by the largest orthodox church in the world, in Serbia’s capital, Belgrade.
Seeing it in person was amazing. I did feel a little lonely and way from home in Belgrade, so I made my first trip to McDonalds, something I try to avoid on my travels.
Next I was down to the seaside Montenegro. By some it is considered a separate country, and not part of Serbia.
I teamed up with a group of young special forces veterans from the Bosnian / Serbian war. The took me in and were happy to show their country and customs to me. Our days and evenings were spent on and near the beach.
